Solution Consultant - Artificial Intelligence for Maintenance (maint.ai) Melbourne

Wood has an immediate requirement for a Solution Consultant to join our Energy, Optimisation and Innovation team based in Melbourne. Project Controller

Wood is currently recruiting a Project Controller to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.  The role reports to the Lead Cost Controller and will work to support the wider Project Control needs across the Consulting division and the region.   You will be joining a motivated and high performing team working closely with our Project Managers and Engineers to implement sensible, honest and robust Project Management methodologies for cost control, change control and project control in line with client and internal stakeholder expectations.     Wood is currently recruiting for a Technical Safety engineer with relevant experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.   Responsibilities - Implement the Safety Management System as required by the Project. - Implement procedural requirements for environmental management when assigned to specific projects. - When assigned to projects, review contractual,, legislative, and regulatory environmental requirements and preparation of the project HSE Plan. - Maintain an awareness of current trends in process safety and management. - Liaise with Clients and provide support to the Project Manager. - Support and report to Project Process Manager as required by project execution plans and organisations. - Aware of Local and International standards relevant to Technical safety.   Duties - Carry out and report safety audits in accordance with procedural and schedule requirements. - Prepare, on behalf of Clients, safety assessments, reports and studies. - Maintain a faimiliarity with applicable IT techniques for the execution and optimisation of environmental management activities. - Prepare P&IDs, calculations and all other documents required for Fire Water System design. - Aware of Local and International standards relevant to Technical safety. - Prepare Hazardous material schedule for Area Classification in line with International standards.

 

Environmental Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship

Wood is recruiting for an Environmental Practitioner Degree Apprentice to join our team based in London. Launch your career in environmental consultancy and gain a Bachelors degree at Kingston University in London with no tuition fees to pay. You’ll be working full time as an apprentice at Wood and will be able to apply the theory and skills you learn in your studies to some of the UK’s largest infrastructure and development projects. Our Environmental Assessment teams work in a variety of sectors including nuclear, aviation, offshore wind, urban regeneration, grid connection and transport related projects both in the UK and internationally. We’re currently involved in many high-profile projects in the UK including the Rampion II offshore-wind farm, Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, Hynet North West Hydrogen pipeline and the NEOM megacity project in Saudi Arabia. This exciting opportunity for an Environmental Practitioner Degree Apprenticewill commence in September 2022. The role will be within our Environment & Consents Business Unit, gaining experience in areas such as Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), ecology, water, noise and air quality as well as and working with other professionals across the organisation. As part of this you’ll be supported with tailored training opportunities to align with both your university studies and project work. Structural Design Engineer - Fired Heaters

Structural Design Engineer (Fired Heaters)   Summary   Wood PLC, Fired Heater Division, a World Leader in the design and supply of engineered direct-fired Process Heaters, is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for project execution of large and complicated Fired Heaters and Specialty Furnaces. Our products are large capacity Direct Fired Heaters and Specialty Furnaces for the Domestic and International Oil Refining and Petrochemical Industry. Current Projects include heaters destined for Korea, India, Chile, and USA with fabrication being performed worldwide.   The office is in Hampton, NJ offering a hybrid schedule.   Overview:   The Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design calculations for fired heater components and associated supporting structures. Work includes the design of internal heater alloy castings for tube supports, design and analysis of flue gas ducts, flexibility analysis of furnace components and piping systems, and fired heater structural steel design and analysis. Required to prepare weight take-offs, develop gravity, wind, and seismic loading calculations, and review shop drawings and RFI’s.   Requirements:   - Familiarity of relevant codes (AISC, ASCE, AWS, ASME etc.) - Proficiency in STAAD.Pro or other structural modelling software  - Working knowledge of Caesar or other pipe stress analysis program is a plus - Familiarity with Microstation or AutoCAD - Ability to work in a team environment as well as perform routine work with minimal supervision   Responsibilities:   - Prepare structural design calculations for fired heaters, stacks, and associated equipment - Review calculations prepared by other engineers - Perform pipe stress analysis on piping systems in high temperature service - Provide sketches and coordinate with design department to ensure accuracy and quality of design drawings - Occasionally travel to client locations for meetings or equipment troubleshooting - Review and approve shop drawings

Environmental Engineer/Scientist/Chemist

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently seeking a Environmental Engineer/Scientist/Chemist to perform, under the direction of a project manager, environmental field investigations, report writing, and other project related tasks associated with site investigation activities at a dynamic and evolving project sites located in the Grafton County/Lebanon, New Hampshire area and Windor/Orange County, Vermont area.   This position will require residence within the Grafton County/Lebanon, NH area or Windsor/Orange County, VT area, or commutable distance from Hanover, NH.                            Key Responsibilities: - Conduct field work under the direction of a senior scientist to investigate and monitor the nature and extent of soil vapor and indoor air contamination.  Field work will include collection and analysis of soil vapor and indoor air using an Inficon Hapsite ER portable gas chromatograph/mass spectrometer (GC/MS) - Maintain the onsite quality control (QC) analytical program, report analytical results on a daily basis, maintain an excel results database, and perform general maintenance tasks of the analytical instrument - Coordinate with Project Chemist on a daily basis - Conduct other field sampling on an as needed basis The ideal candidate for this position is an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn.

  Wood is currently recruiting for a Diploma Trainee - Piping from the campus drive for 2022 batch, to be based out at Kolkata, India Office.   Responsibility Overview: - Preparation of Piping Drawings / Models in accordance with Wood Technical Work Practises, standards and Client standards, Plot Plans and latest Vendor Data under guidance - Receives training in CADD software and corporate procedures and systems - Receives instruction and guidance to broaden knowledge base and experience of piping drafting activities - Receives exposure to other disciplines to broaden knowledge base and experience - Coordinates work with other Designers  

 

Diploma Trainee - Control & Instrumentation

  Wood is currently recruiting for a Diploma Trainee - Control & Instrumentation from the campus drive for 2022 batch, to be based out at Kolkata, India Office.   Responsibility Overview: - Under guidance preparation of C&I drawings / documents / models in accordance with Wood Group, India Operations Technical work practices, Wood Group standards, India Operations standards, client standards and latest vendor data with high quality - Receives training in SPI, CAD software and corporate procedures and systems - Receives instruction and guidance to broaden knowledge base and experience of C&I design and drafting activities - Receives exposure to other disciplines to broaden knowledge base and experience - Co-ordinate work with other with the C&I team members  

 

Diploma Trainee - Electrical

  Wood is currently recruiting for a Diploma Trainee - Electrical from the campus drive for 2022 batch, to be based out at Kolkata, India Office.   Responsibility Overview: - The Diploma – Trainee role incorporates a large element of college based and in-house, on the job technical training (including site work) as the basis for development - The ability to execute assigned tasks in line with discipline design instructions, quality plan, technical work practices and procedures under guidance from supervisors and mentors - To become familiar with the production of common electrical design deliverables including: - Single Line Diagrams; - Block Cable Diagrams; - General Electrical Equipment Layouts including Sub-Station Layouts; - Lighting Layouts; - Earthing Layouts; - Hazardous Area Layouts; - Cable Schedules. - To gain a basic knowledge of Industry standard CAD systems (AutoCAD/MicroStation) for the production of 2-D electrical drawings - To possess a broad awareness of design interface issues with other disciplines typically: - Layout/piping group for general plant layout; - Civil group for major electrical equipment supports and underground cable routing; - C&I group for general plant control.
