Senior Corrosion Engineer

Wood is currently looking for a Senior Corrosion Engineer to join our Asset Integrity Team in Abu Dhabi for 12 months contract.   Job Responsibilities - Providing technical support in project’s related tasks; RBI and Corrosion Inspection Manuals for their operating assets and new projects - The responsibility to mentor and coach the graduate engineers - Development of corrosion monitoring philosophies and strategies - Materials and corrosion studies (including coating selection) and specifications - Developing piping inspection strategies and identification of corrosion monitoring locations - Development of corrosion management strategies and corrosion manuals - Performing corrosion-rate calculations, corrosion modelling and contribute to fitness for purpose studies - Integrity assessment of cathodic protection systems - Undertaking Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment studies - Assisting in the training and development of other team members - Liaising with clients to develop discrete work scopes and build professional working relationship - Responsible for the ongoing Corrosion Management Programmes and RBI work technical assurance - Will be shadowing the Materials & Corrosion Lead (Team Lead) for the business in support of the growth and technical assurance delivery - Carry out Corrosion assessment on pipelines and equipment, preferable software experience (e.g Wood ECE model) - Review of Corrosion assessment reports, which may include ILI reports, Fitness for Purpose (FFP) / Recommendations for Repair Reports (RRR), ILI raw data, Direct Assessment reports etc. as a primary input - Liaise with the Wood global offices for support where needed but expected convergence with Wood Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) - Sites Visits outside offices as & when required.

 

Senior Project Engineer

Wood is currently sourcing for Senior Project Engineer to support our projects in Abu Dhabi.    Responsibilities   - Report to a Project Manager, the candidate will support the efficient execution of the projects to ensure that it is delivered within schedule, cost, and in accordance with the project quality and HSE standards - Promote safe behaviour at all times - Manage individual projects from initiation stage (estimate proposal) through engineering, procurement and final close out - Liaise with client / focal point for assigned projects - Responsible for interfacing with other Wood office in case of workshare - Manage the interface with any 3rd party services where it impacts engineering deliverables. - Support the project manager in flagging project risks and responsibility for related actions and close out of such - Champion the implementing of change control within the appointed projects - Support the application of effective business controls throughout the project and in accordance with stated requirements - controls will apply to all HSE, commercial, financial, quality, integrity, and schedule issues - Prepare individual project reports, interface definition and management, plus liaison with Client project engineers - Ensure that technical integrity is fully maintained and that all deviations to project standards / procedures are formally recorded and approved - Support the management and reporting of both budget and schedule on a weekly and monthly basis - Support the management of all project audit reports, and ensuring that all audit action items are closed-out in a timely manner - Assist in the identification and resolution of project issues at the earliest opportunity - Help exercise control over manpower and material resources in order to complete the project within budget, schedule, quality, and HSE requirements

 

Senior Technical Safety Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment)

Wood is currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Rotating Equipment) to strengthen our team in Dubai.    - To carry out mechanical discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil & gas production facilities. - To plan, budget, organize, and control a segment of the mechanical engineering deliverables for the project. - To prepare Mechanical deliverables for a project FEED in the oil and gas industry, and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s policies and procedures. - To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule. - To provide direction and guidance on all mechanical engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties. - To liaise with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion. - To promote safe behaviour at all times. - To provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline. - To co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up. - To assist in the coordination of all activities related to mechanical engineering design. - To identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.

 

Materials (CMMS SPIR) Engineer

Wood is currently looking for a  Materials (CMMS SPIR) Engineer to be part of a placement in an ADNOC project in Abu Dhabi for 11 months contract with a possibility of an extension.   The work involved is not limited to below mentioned tasks:   - Conduct a criticality analysis of the maintainable assets and determine critical spares parts. - Assignment of spare parts criticality according to equipment criticality of assets - Review of plant maintenance schedules to outline criticality of equipment and spare parts. - Site visits may be scheduled as per requirement from ADNOC Offshore. - Review the existing maintenance Job plans - Amend the job plans as per the new HSECES performance standards as specified by End Client. - Ensure the co-ordination and optimisation of spares listed against PMRs within SAP / CMMS - Configure and prepare system queries and reports. - Prepare, control and revise PMRs. - Carry out regular data checks to ensure quality and compliance with data structure, correct and complete format with required level of history and edit where required. Report findings regularly - Handle rigorous SAP / CMMS change management - Commit and promote Company’s values and ensuring the realisation of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures.

 

Supply Chain Specialist

Wood is currently looking for Supply Chain Specialist to support our projects in Singapore/Israel. This position will be fully based in Abu Dhabi office in 6 months contract, with potential to become a permanent role.   - Accountable for the successful delivery of all supply chain activities that they are responsible for. - Responsible for the end to end sourcing process (Strategy through Close Out) for the medium risk procurement/subcontract packages assigned to them. - Ensures all supply chain activities are carried out in accordance with the project execution plan/schedule and/or contracting strategy, within approved budgets and in line with project processes and procedures. - Update the project / procurement status report (PSR) in line with project / client required on site dates and current / estimate lead times, notifying any delays to the supply chain lead. - Attend regular PSR meetings with client, engineering and/or project management personnel to ensure dates for pre-order deliverables within their portfolio are being maintained. - Provides guidance, direction and support to all relevant stakeholders on both Woods and the suppliers specific contractual obligations and responsibilities. - Utilisation of Wood Approved Supplier Register (ASR) supplemented when required by project/client approved supplier registers for supplier evaluation, audit, and selection. - Carry out Supplier performance reviews and ongoing management ensuring corrective actions are taken where required. - Ensure that all statutory and legal requirements and procedures are complied with and all actions are fully auditable. - Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety awareness at all times. - Understands and lives Woods vision, values and behaviours. - Understands and works to the Wood Financial Management Framework

 

Principal Process Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for Senior Process Engineer to strengthen our team in Dubai with possible trips to Iraq when its required.   “This position requires experience in Concept, Select and Front End Engineering Design of Upstream Oil & Gas facilities. PMC Planning Engineer

Wood is currently looking to recruit for a PMC Planning Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role will be on ADNOC GP project. Responsibilities as below;  - Act as a focal point for engineering discipline leads regarding planning and progress issues. - Be particularly diligent in recognizing and reporting to Project Management potential problems in all phases of the project - Ensure that the schedules and systems are integrated to measure, trend and forecast the work, and are in place and managed - Contribute to the change management process, analysing and reporting schedule impacts to the project - Updating the proposal schedule to indicate specific milestones agreed upon in the Contract - Preparing engineering and procurement schedules at varying levels of detail - Assisting with obtaining alignment between Engineering and Procurement Schedules - Delivering of weekly and monthly project reports - Ensuring that Corporate Systems are set up and maintained inline with project schedules - Periodically updating schedules to include scope changes, latest progress and delivery information - Assisting with development of Design Change Notices by highlighting impact on schedule, and assist with related tracking and re-baselining effort - Obtaining deliverables and drawing lists and updates from disciplines and distribute compiled reports - Developing and distribute project curves of progress, cost and manpower, including planned, actual and forecast figures

 

PMC Senior Instrument & Control Engineer

Responsibilities include; - Design and check all Instrument work on assigned projects - Execute assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures, DDI and Standards, including Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour and cost budgets and the project schedule targets - Prepare instrument index - Develop data sheets, instrument sizing, and prepare material requisitions for all instrument items including Control Valves, Relief Valves, Flow elements, Level instruments, Temperature instruments, Analyzers and DCS / ESD / Fire and Gas systems - Review other discipline drawings such as Equipment datasheet - Guide the designers for the preparation of Instrumentation drawings and deliverables - Prepare and check all Instrument drawings / documents and ensure that the quality of design and drawings produced for enquiry and fabrication purposes is of satisfactory standard - Attend coordination meetings and engineering review meetings with supplier as required - Assist Procurement Department with the expediting of supplier documents - Review and approve supplier documents for Instrumentation - Ensure effective & efficient Inter-discipline coordination including coordination with client engineer - Review instrument aspects of package unit supplier’s drawings  

 

 

PMC Senior Electrical Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for an Instrument and Controls Designer to strengthen our team in Abudhabi.     - Carry out assigned Instrument design work as part of a multi-discipline project team - Maybe required to perform site surveys and data gathering exercises at various project locations - To provide discipline specific design and drafting services that meet the Project’s, and applicable statutory and regulatory, requirements - To provide technical support to the site team during design, engineering and construction - Preparation and checking of all types of Electrical and/or Instrument design deliverables such as Block Diagrams, Schematics, Layout Drawings, Termination Diagrams, Schedules, Loop Diagrams, Hook-up Arrangements, Material Take-Offs, etc - Interdisciplinary check of all Civil/Structural/Piping/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation drawings - Review of vendor drawings for Equipment / Package items - Produce drawings in AutoCAD - To assist in the coordination of all activities related to the discipline - To promote safe behaviour at all times  

 

Lead Engineer - Pipeline

Wood is looking for a Lead Engineer - Pipeline to strengthen the team in Abudhabi , UAE to support BGC project. - Direct and supervise a team of relevant discipline engineers - Responsible for providing expertise and ensures the application of correct standards in all FEED / EPC deliverables in the design and development of projects associated with Oil and Gas processing, production and export - Supervise the work of relevant discipline Engineers and Superintendents and ensure that quality and standards are maintained, and cost-effective solutions are adopted - Fully understands the COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility - Ensures that work under his control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner - Review any design work carried out by third parties (vendors) and participate in some instances, lead HAZOP, HAZID, IPF, reliability studies, and Safety and Facilities Technical Audits - Establish the actual (as opposed to design) capacities / capabilities of existing field facilities to identify potential bottlenecks and scope for optimization - Identify potential applications for new technology - Develop actively the local staff to fulfill engineers and managing role - Know the environmental aspects (ISO14001) of oil and gas design - Know the safety aspects of design in relation to the project cycle (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, HAZAN, IPF classification methodology and implementation, reliability studies, Fire and Gas mapping and risk analysis techniques) - Conduct life cycle cost analysis - Prepare RFQ (request for quotation) technical packages for pipelines related scopes - Prepare engineering, construction and material estimation, schedule, resource planning and update resource capacity planning half-yearly - Provide first class engineering in one or more of the following fields; risers, subsea pipelines, landfalls, subsea manifolds, piping design and onshore / subsea pipeline - Be familiar with working with construction engineers and installation schemes     

 

Supply Chain Expeditor

  Wood is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Expeditor with experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in Abudhabi,UAE.   The Supply Chain Expeditor will provide detailed information to key stakeholders in respect of materials and equipment delivery schedules including expediting deliverables identified within the Supplier Document Schedule. Negotiate delivery schedules, in conjunction with the SCM report and administer import logistics and transportation.   Key Duties: - Responsible for follow up and close-out of Subcontractor Purchase/Service Orders. - Responsible for Expediting prompt engineering discipline review and return of Subcontractor document deliverables and expediting Subcontractor contract deliverables in line with contract dates using Subcontractor late reports in conjunction with Document Control. - Providing timely information with respect to availability of materials, equipment and services in respect of all Purchase Orders and Service Orders. - Liaison with the Construction teams, Procurement and Warehouse and Logistics to co-ordinate the prioritized call-off of materials to satisfy the Projects construction plan. - Providing input to and / or prepare weekly status reports on behalf of the Project Procurement team giving a summary of the status of Purchase Orders, Service Orders and key document deliverables. - Notification of Inspection Release dates for materials and equipment in conjunction with the Responsible Engineer. - Issue Materials Movement Tickets to allow movement to commence. - Understanding the Project Planning and Scheduling methodologies (Primavera or other), provide the Project planner with accurate updates to the overall Project plan, provide detailed Procurement Status Reports (PSR), in line with project reporting deadlines. - Provision of internal and external KPI reporting and data analysis to support expediting activities. Updating MWG and Client portals for On-Time Delivery trending. - Use the provisions of the Purchase or Service Order Terms and Conditions to maintain contractual performance obligations by the Subcontractor. - Reviewing performance feedback in respect of materials, equipment and services providers. - Preparing and maintaining structured and indexed files in respect of Subcontract and Purchase Order Documents and store in subcontract files. - Implementing improvement plans where there is a significant gap between expectations and Subcontractor actual performance. - Abide by MWG ethical practices in all dealings with company Subcontractors. - Perform all other related job functions as required. - Main interfaces, SCM Specialist, Project Managers, Delivery Leads, Materials Coordinators, WH Leads.

 

Project Administrator

Wood is currently looking for a Project Admin (preferably Arabic Speaker) to strengthen our team in Dubai.   The contract is for 1 year, renewable annually based on business needs.   Accountability: - This is a Home Office position based in Dubai. Normal working time will be 48 hours per week (10 hours per day) supporting the whole Project Team. - Accountable for providing all systematic administrative support and technical assistance in an organised and cohesive manner for the entire Project Team.   Principal responsibilities include but not limited to; - Directly reports to Project Delivery Manager (Functionally reports to the Lead Administrator). - Prepare travel arrangements, meeting room bookings, documenting meeting minutes, preparing presentations, supporting management with preparing management reports, assisting visitors during business gatherings and organising all events/programs/meetings for the team, etc. - Undertake Receptionist duties on adhoc basis– answer phone calls and ensure reception is always manned. - Prepare correspondence, excel spreadsheets, power point presentations and meeting materials including documenting meeting minutes as directed. - Develop an effective filing system for project key documents. - Create and maintain project team technical documents and organisation charts (MS Visio). - Assist with all local travel bookings and coordinate with Mobilisation Team on travel requirements. Business partnering is a key element of the role in providing finance and decision making support through building relationships and promoting close links with operational leadership. Senior Planning Engineer
