Project Controls Administrator

Lead Materials & Corrosion Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for Lead Materials and Corrosion Engineer in Dubai.   This is a Home Office position based in Dubai, but it may involve occasional visits to the Client offices and/or site in Iraq. Normal working time will be 48 hours per week   Reporting to the Lead Mechanical Engineer, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned materials and corrosion engineering work activities.    Key responsibilities:  - To carry out materials and corrosion engineering work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil & gas production facilities. - To plan, organize and control the materials and corrosion engineering deliverables for the project. - To manage and respond to client requirements. - To support Front End Studies Team activities, including early feasibility assessments, travel into Iraq for early discussions/opportunity framing workshops, identification of early long lead items and materials requirements. - When not engaged in Studies Team activities, provide materials and corrosion engineering support for engineering and procurement activities that fall under the delivery teams. - To prepare materials and corrosion engineering deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industry and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s policies and procedures. - To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule. - To provide direction and guidance on materials and corrosion engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties. - To liaise with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion. - To promote safe behaviour at all times. - Interfacing with key disciplines to ensure corrosion threats are identified and managed for all equipment. - Developing and defining corrosion management plan and corrosion design basis memorandum for all equipment - Involve and participate in risk analysis assessment of HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, RBI, etc. - Focal point for corrosion monitoring provider (coupons, probes), providing management interface and compiling and interpreting results. - Troubleshooting / technical assessment for corrosion / erosion or other similar damage modes on an ad-hoc basis. - Input into Asset Integrity Management System programs requiring corrosion management. - Prepare/review materials and corrosion deliverables, including; material selection philosophy, material selection report, material selection diagrams (MSDs), corrosion monitoring philosophy, specifications for painting and coating, internal lining, cladding, fire proofing, thermal insulation, sour service, welding and NDT and cathodic protection. - Support Client RBI works as helping hand for Client Materials and Corrosion TA - Perform fabrication shop inspections for various types of static/pipeline/skid package equipment - Address fabrication stage method statements, NCRs, TQs from vendors - Define testing and check points, QA/QC steps for procurement, fabrication and construction - Support workpack preparation to ensure all the fabrication and inspection details are covered for special alloys or non-metallics materials like HDPE/GRE.

 

 

 

Senior Process Engineer

Lead Project Engineer

 Wood is currently looking for Lead Project Engineer to strengthen our team in Dubai. This is a home office position. - This is a Home Office position based in Dubai, but will involve visits to the Client offices and/or site in Iraq. Normal working time will be 48 hours / 5 days per week   - The contract is to provide engineering and procurement services, for gas processing in the southern area of Iraq - The work may consist of Conceptual study, FEED and detailed engineering and procurement for various brownfields projects in southern Iraq to capture the flared gas and process. Consisting of upstream gas gathering (dehydration and compression), gas processing (NGL and LPG trains), LPG refrigeration, storage and jetty off loading and pipelines - Reporting to a Project Manager, the candidate will be support the efficient execution of the projects to ensure that it is delivered within schedule, cost, and in accordance with the project quality and HSE standards - To lead and manage the project engineering team - To have single-point responsibility for all deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s policies and procedures - To ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet the asset operational needs - To ensure that own actions plus those of the project team are conducted in accordance with the HSE management system - To ensure the efficient delivery of the project within schedule, cost, and quality standards - To ensure in the development of the project schedule and then take ownership once base line is approved - To manage the project risks and responsibility for related actions and close out of such - To manage change control within the appointed projects - To ensure the application of effective business controls throughout the project and in accordance with stated requirements. Wood is currently looking to recruit a highly competent PMC Senior Piping Engineer to join our PMC team on ADNOC Offshore project. Successful candidate must complete below responsibilities; - Detailed knowledge and proven application in all general piping design and layout aspects, detailed understanding of material management system, stress analysis concepts and of applicable codes and standards - Carrying out various piping activities and preparation of deliverables as necessary on their appointed project - Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities etc - Execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures and client and projects standards - Adhering to engineering procedures for design safety and adopting safe attitudes towards engineering design and raising features affecting the safety and integrity of the project with appropriate authorities - Correct interpretation and implementation of all piping system related functions in their appointed area

Wood is looking for a Mobilization Coordinator to join our team in Dubai for an intial 3 months contract with possible extension   - Responsible in the preparation and liaising of UAE visa applications - Booking and arranging medical requirements for employee - Booking and arranging Wood Group inductions for employee - Booking and managing flights, accommodation, and transportation for employee’s mobilization - Maintaining the mobilization tracker and ensuring data are up to date at the highest standard and in line with emergency response procedures - Manage all administrative processes including the issuing of joining instructions; maintain accurate records and filing - Ensure all employees have the appropriate visa, medical, attestation, induction, project specific requirements prior to mobilization - Acts as logistics focal point for nominated project in relation to the movement of personnel. - Manage IT new starts / leavers process of personnel on project - Prepares and send out Welcome / Mobilization e-mail. Ensure employee have the correct documentation. - Monitoring of employee flight tickets, hotels, medicals, inductions and visas due to expire to ensure validity is kept at all times - Ensuring Audit requirements are met for employee folders - Handling all general mobilization/logistics queries - Support HR for any requirements (e.g., inductions, job profile, competency assessment and trainings)

 

 

 

Construction Engineer

Wood is currently looking for a Construction Engineer to be based in Dubai Delivery Responsibility  - Single discipline responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of construction scope to Mechanical Completion & Ready For Commission status. - Manage the Construction Contractors assuring technical compliance and quality standards are achieved.   Safety Responsibility - Front line responsibility for contractors HSSE performance, meeting Client minimum standards, Compliance with HSE execution plan and delivery against safety road map activities/actions - Provide front line Safety Leadership of the Client and CIC Construction teams. Proactively develop behaviors and culture of safety first - Participate in EPS &EPF Design HAZID/Constructability reviews. Identify hazards and controls, constructability improvements to reduce safety and improve efficiency - Assure CIC and EPS/F construction teams incorporate risk assessment and do ability into construction work pack development (WfP). - Lead and attend TBT, safety stand downs, safety site visits, CSSS audits. Raise observations by positive intervention empower workers to identify hazards and implement controls - Participate as team member in safety incident investigations providing interface with contractors HSE team ensure SMART action close out   Construction Pre commission & Completions - Ensure the contractors construction team implements and executes the construction scope as per technical specification quality standards and project schedule requirements - Liaise with EP construction coordinators and  Client Lproject engineers to ensure delivery and quality of Construction Work Packs in line with WfP process and construction schedule. - Ensure construction contractor defines and delivers Installation Work Packs in line with the construction schedule and PoC. - Participate in contractor mobilization and Go No Go process ensuring critical HSSE, construction, quality, logistics, material management, project services and SP/LC processes procedures, and systems are compliant to Client standards and issued as mobilization plan - Attend Daily/Weekly/Monthly meetings with contractor to review discipline specific progress and schedule compliance. - Responsible for discipline progress and completion including handover at RFC - Interface with the Client and CIC procurement and materials management teams, expediting material delivery to agreed ROS. Ensure construction contractor site material control and bagging and tagging activities are in line with discipline specific construction schedule requirements  - Manage contractor Hand On Tools Time to achieve efficiency. Proactively identify and promote effective working methods with the construction contractor - Ensure site TQ’s are raised by contractor as required. Ensure that the engineering response to the TQ’S are expedited and CIC implements changes corrections on site. Ensure contractor compiles evidence of closed TQs and provides documentation as part of completions process - Ensure and assure contractor installs and completes work in line with ITR requirements. Manage the contractor during the seamless interface from area construction to system/sub system completion. - Ensure that discipline handover documentation /Dossier are complete as per project requirements. Responsible to ensure that the contractor has all required drawings up to date and including redlines/as- built. - Review contractor reports and MoM for accuracy identify and report incorrect reporting. - Complete and submit daily/weekly area progress reports to the ACL.   Quality - Review and approval of Contractors ITPs and Procedures for E&I activities. - Perform inspections and verifications (RFI) during construction and/or fabrication activities in accordance with requirements of the ITPs and Company Specifications. - Work closely with Contractors personnel and advise them of quality requirements. Ensure timely and adequate review and assurance of contractors Quality Records. - Monitor and ensure inspection and quality surveillance activities are efficiently and effectively performed. - Perform inspections and verifications during construction and/or fabrication activities in accordance with the Client assurance plan and requirements of the contractors ITP. - Review and assurance of QA/QC requirements for red line as constructed drawings. - Provide discipline expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems. Provide early warning of potential quality problems - Apply project flawless principles ensuring cleanliness and tightness controls are defined by the contractor and implemented as required - Ensure preservation activities and controls are identified within work packs and construction contractor complies with preservation requirements - Ensure timely and adequate review and approval of contractors Quality Records / Handover Dossiers   Contract Responsibility - Ensure compliance to and periodic reviews & updates of the following: - HSE Plan, Security plan, Emergency response plan. Journey management plan ,Environmental plan.quality plan, site cosntruction execution plan - Ensure ongoing compliance with requirements for the following: examples - Planning, progress & cost reporting, change and claims management, time writing, document management, local content optimization, HSSE and Quality audits, - Ensure clear understanding of construction and pre commission scope. - Assure compliance of CIC to design and specification requirements - Confirmation of scope completion against contract payment milestones. - Support CH and CE in ensuring contractors compliance to contract T&Cs - Review of contractor raised site instructions confirming variation and assessment of commercial and schedule impact - Manage progress and contractor work allocation minimizing company exposure to claim. - Prepare reports and support information to the CH in preperation for business performance reviews - Reviewing the Contractor and the Company performance data, trends and KPI’s, and identifying and agreeing improvement actions for both parties  

 

 

 

PMC Senior Material and Corrosion Engineer

Wood is currently seeking expression of interest for a PMC Senior Material and Corrosion Engineer to work on a new project in Abu Dhabi, UAE for approximately 24 - 36 months. The ideal candidate will have extensive Oil and Gas experience working on EPC projects within the midstream or downstream / onshore sector.     - Provide expert input in material and corrosion technology - Prepare and issue engineering corrosion philosophy and corrosion management plans - Advise equipment, valves, and piping material selection based on internal and external corrosion - Prepare material selection reports and perform corrosion rate calculations - Prepare material specifications for pipes, piping components, valves, and mechanical equipment - Provide input to, review and approve material selection diagrams - Review material selection diagrams of vendors, licensors and third - parties - Prepare painting specifications, coating specifications and insulation specifications - Ensure that all produced deliverables are complied with QA / QC and ISO System requirements of the Company

 

 

 

PMC Lead Technical Safety Engineer

Wood is currently seeking expression of interest for a PMC Lead Technical Safety Engineer to work on a new project in Abu Dhabi, UAE for approximately 24 - 36 months. The ideal candidate will have extensive Oil and Gas experience working on EPC projects within the midstream or downstream / onshore sector.   - Supervises, coordinates and directs the Technical Safety discipline work  in the preparation of technical reports, technical specifications, drawings and purchase requisitions - Performs safety engineering calculations, using MS Office or specialized software, e.g., risk and consequence calculations, calculations related to flaring and venting, hazardous area classification, firewater demand estimates - Reviews man-hour budget, schedule and project scope for the discipline portion of the work - Prepares Project Change Notices for submittal to the Project Engineering Manager for changes in the scope of work, delays or other reasons and assist in cost estimate of the change - Participates in design reviews (e.g., HAZID and HAZOP). - Prepare client reports / documentation on the project work conducted.  This includes philosophies, analysis work, safety engineering calculations, design reviews Performance Standards and specifications. Prepares Formal Safety Assessment studies, prepares Safety Cases (if required) - Coordinates with other Discipline Leads and Project Engineering Manager or Project Engineers to ensure a functional project - Reviews drawings and documents of other Project disciplines at appropriate times to ensure that the drawings are in compliance with the requirements of the project. Conversely, ensures that discipline documents and drawings are submitted for review to other disciplines in time for them to react and feed-back comments before scheduled release dates

 

 

 

PMC Senior Civil and Structural Engineer

Wood is currently seeking expression of interest for a PMC Senior Civil and Structural Engineer to work on a new project in Abu Dhabi, UAE for approximately 24 - 36 months. The ideal candidate will have extensive Oil and Gas experience working on EPC projects within the midstream or downstream / onshore sector.   - Work independently in the group and lead Civil and structural Design Engineers and work in a team of engineering and design office - Apply experience, engineering techniques, codes, standards, analysis calculations, specification, company procedures, sound judgment, and design criteria to conduct his work - Ensure that all civil and structural works done at company are per approved specifications - Prepare quality assurance and control documents for civil / structural jobs - Field inspection of work activities, surveying and measurement taking - Act Lead Engineer for civil / structural related projects / jobs - Prepare drawings for design and produce himself in electronic format. Also, if work load increases, he shall produce sketches to allow designers / draft men to draw on electronic format, he will then verify the drawings - Work directly with project engineers, designers, CAD operators, and draft men to ensure work activities are coordinated. He may also be required to supervise and train these personnel - Use software related to civil / structural for design, calculations and preparation of design packages (i.e., Staadpro) - Responsible in  planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria - Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices

Wood is currently seeking expression of interest for a PMC Senior Process Engineer to work on a new project in Abu Dhabi, UAE for approximately 24 - 36 months. The ideal candidate will have extensive Oil and Gas experience working on EPC projects within the midstream or downstream / onshore sector.   - Provide technical expertise on all engineering subject matter pertaining to Process engineering and design - Ensure Process design and engineering compliance with relevant codes, standards and Company standards - Coordinate, Monitor and handle Process design and engineering with EPC contractor as per project expectation and complete the same within the time frame - Perform regular and timely technical reviews of Process engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants / contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices - Ensure integration of overall Process engineering coordination within IPMT other discipline Engineering Team - Review and approval of Engineering Consultant's and EPC Contractor's work and ensure compliance with the project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices - Coordinate the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models - Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to design optimization and validation - Participate in teams for equipment sizing / equipment selection considering optimization and standardization - Ensure that the facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects - Ensure full utilization of the existing facilities while optimizing the facilities required for the new projects - Participate in layout reviews, model review, design reviews, and technical workshops - Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers - Coordinate technical reviews and bid evaluation, and performance evaluation
