We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Inspection Engineer to be worked on our ADNOC PMC project in Abu Dhabi region. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Construction Manager I Senior Discipline Engineer The duty of the Inspection Engineer shall include but not be limited to the following tasks: - Make sure that any activity offered for his inspection has an approved shop drawing, method statement (MS), Quality Control Procedure (QCP) and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP). - Carry out all planned site inspections as per the intervention points marked in the relevant - All site inspection shall be carried out vide an official Inspection and Test request (ITR) submitted by the CONTRACTOR through the proper - Inspection status shall be recorded in the ITR and any relevant check sheet as per the approved QCP. PMC Senior Marine Engineer

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Senior Marine Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This position will be on residential based in city of Abu Dhabi. Successful candidate must be able to peform below marine and dredging duties; - Must have experience in solid / bulk Ship Loading / Ship Loader Jetties / Marine Terminals and Liquid Loading Arms - To provide, with full responsibility and accountability, technical services to the Project in the areas of Marine Terminal / Jetties, mooring dolphins, breasting dolphins, beacon / buoy, pipe trestles, walkways, gangways, and their foundation and structural ensuring that designs are in compliance with the latest Codes, Standards, Procedures, Practices, National / International and project requirements and procedures - Lead and manage various technical studies such as Mooring Analysis / Fast and Real Time Navigational Analysis Studies, berthing occupancies studies, dredging requirement studies, Marine constructability study, gangway selection study, and other Studies related to Marine Terminals - Carry out various calculations / analysis like Vessel Mooring analysis, ship loading platform capacity assessments, pipe access trestle design, breasting and mooring dolphin designs, access catwalk designs - Experienced in the design of Marine equipment such as Design & selection of Marine Equipment like Fenders, Capstan, gangways, Chokes, Quick Release Mooring Hooks, navigational aids etc. - Must have experience in dredging, Leading the identification and adoption of appropriate dredging standards, with main consideration of UAE national standards and norms - Experience in Solid Handling Marine Terminals and Jetties - specification for fabricating steel piles, pile driving, precast / cast-in place concrete, concrete reinforcements, cathodic protection, - Gather, research and analyses pertinent data and information and prepares recommendations with supporting technical data - Liaise with other Discipline Engineers and End-Users, co-ordinates with external consultant, in order to develop cost effective and fit-for- purpose design solutions, to fit project requirements - Prepare specifications and work scopes and assists in tender evaluation process - Provides Projects with technical content of Project Development and Execution Plans, including defining design and construction criteria and procurement strategies for critical items like fenders, Quick Release Hooks, structural steel - Prepare or direct the preparation of marine structural drawings, layouts, schematics, material take-off - Knowledge related to environmental sensitivity related to underwater scenarios is an added advantage - Contribute towards updating discipline Engineering Codes, Standards, Specifications and Philosophies - Provide technical expertise and support for design, procurement and construction of project, ensuring the quality and cost control of the works according to the contracts requirements. - To review the Contractors design documents - To assure the design is in line with the Company’s specification and in compliance with applicable standards and codes - To interface with the others engineering disciplines and other departments to properly and timely develop the projects - To manage and validate the site design changes originated by construction / installation reasons - To complete the Contractors’ detailed design review and develop additional site engineering as the case could be - To verify and manage the interface engineering of the packages designed by the different Contractors - To support the Technical Services Team in processing from the technical point of view Technical Queries (TQs), Concession Requests (CRs), Project Change Notices (PCNs) and Claims - To verify the availability of AFC drawings in order not to jeopardize the sequence of the construction activities as scheduled - To assist the Construction Team to achieve the project technical requirements - To verify the completeness and correctness of the AS BUILT drawing

Function: Ensure the development and implementation of Quality Management Requirements on assigned projects in all phases ensures that the project quality system meet the existing requirements of ISO 9000 Series and project requirements by assuring Technical integrity and fitness for purpose on overall project engineering, materials, equipment and construction Responsibilities - Responsible for Quality Management System establishment, implementation and monitoring for the division and all the project phases. - Leads and co-ordinates quality related activities throughout the assigned project phases - Develops the individual project needs the Quality management requirements in line with international standard and ADNOC Distribution Quality Policy and Procedures. - Prepare Audit Plan and Performs Quality Management evaluation of Contractors, Project Management Consultation, Design Consultants and Vendors by assessment visit or bid review in order to provide selection advise as per the advice by Department Manager. - Review and approves the development of contractors and consultants project quality plan ensuring that the project quality systems and related procedures preventively address the assurance of the quality in the design and construction. - Ensures that the approved Quality management system and plans are fully implemented and effective regular surveillance, taking part is Contractor audits and performing individual systems audit as well as the process audit. - Coordinate with the project management team technical compliance audits by chairing PMC Team meeting, and visits periodically for sites for sites for sites for physical verification. - Take parts in specification reviews, material reviews and execution procedure reviews ensure all QA and QC requirements are addressed. - Attends the project kick of meeting and critical pre-inspection meetings to ensure adequacy of vendor resources including manning, vendor’s equipment and materials, etc. recommends the selection of third party, inspection agencies. Co-ordinates with discipline engineers to review inspection and advises projects mangers. - Supervises and participates in construction surveillance at site locations. - Provides technical assistance and advice to project team on inspection levels, materials, testing certification and handover documentations - Periodical visits to construction sites to ensure that the Quality Assurance is implemented and followed in accordance with agreement. - Review and approve all the QA/QC related submission submitted by Contractors and Consultants. - Participate in the PAC and FAC Inspections and Handing over of the projects - Participate in the project close out activities - Attend the Quality related complaints from the end users - Follow up the actions of the lesson learned with the project team - Coordinate with strategic management with regarding the ISO Certifications, perform evaluation and organizational change proposals. - Coordination with HR related the training - Reviews the project quality documents Work Contacts: - Regular contacts with the Manager, Industrial project and project support Department , senior planning engineer, project manager and project management consultants (PMC) to ensure the implementation of the quality management system - Regular contracts with Contractor’s Quality Assurance Manager / Project Mangers to coordinate and support in Quality issues - Necessary contacts with strategic planning staff as required Independence Operation: Reports to the Manager, Engineering Department Works independently guided by general directives, policies, objectives and specialized professional standards.
