Contract Engineer

Wood is currently looking to recruit a Contract Engineer on its Dalma Gas Development project in UAE. - Select and prepare the adequate tendering and contracting strategy that ensures the best value for ADNOC Offshore expenditure following the best practice and innovative ideas - Prepares contractual and commercial aspects of any procurement, support works and service tenders required by projects, in consultation with Project Managers - Prepares and compiles Tender / agreement (purchase Order / contract) documentation, with Project Team, legal and finance groups to ensure viability, legality, interpretation and ease of administration - Provides expertise for Tenderer’s prequalification and processes bid list, including any pre-qualification exercises and evaluations required and obtains relevant management / tender board approvals - Participates in the technical and un-priced commercial evaluation of tenders and then leads the subsequent priced commercial evaluation of technically acceptable offers that includes professional adjustment factors depending on the nature of the job and tender Prepares a comprehensive techno-commercial evaluation report and recommendations - Processes award recommendations, ensure necessary approvals and finalize with successful bidder and the contract documentation - Validates the development and implementation of all contractor procedures for conformity with the Contract Checks conformity of all documentation called for, including guarantees, performance bonds, insurance and the like with agreed formats and processes as required - Assists in evaluating contractor’s request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors Monitors performance of contractor’s procurement activities in terms of timely delivery and quality - Administers contractors’ request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors Monitors performance of contractors’ procurement activities in terms of timely delivery and quality - Administers contractors’ reimbursement and valuation submissions, and coordinates with the Finance Division as required - Reviews, advises and negotiates as part of constituted team, revised terms, variation order requests, change orders, claims in liaison with responsible management - Assists project controls group in obtaining and assessing cost and progress data performance Provides relevant data and assist to the Contract Administration System and provides facilities for performance analysis of the historical tender / contract matters - Coordinates the final ‘close-out’ of completed purchase order / contract by ensuring proper resolution of all outstanding issues Provides input and reviews the commercial aspect of ‘Performance Reports on Contractors’ - Conducts all work activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by not taking on any task that are perceived as unsafe Complies with the QHSE management system and reports all incidents and near misses to VP or QHSE representative

TitleSafety Engineer (Construction)

Wood is currently looking to recruit a Safety Engineer Engineer (Construction) to work on Dalma Gas Development project. The successful candidate must be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities; - Maintain and help control daily HSE practices through regular checks of work sites, ensure that hazards are identified, precautionary measures are implemented and relevant HSE advice provided - Ensure that project Health, Safety and Environmental programs and procedures are communicated to and regularly reinforced with site personnel - Promote safe working systems and procedures and monitor the proper application of the "Permit to Work" system, SIMOPS and associated Job Safety Analysis, as well as other approved project - HSE and contractor related policies, plans, procedures and guidelines - Review and provide comments regarding contractor developed HSE plans and procedures - Coordinate and participate in the provision of HSE awareness in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 specifications Prepare programs and arrange participation training sessions in conjunction with line management - Participate as member of construction site emergency response team, and provide first line advice to the designated Incident Controller and / or On Scene Commander concerning containment of emergency - Ensure that any project incidents are immediately reported to management and project HSES in parallel - Investigate all site HSE related incidents, including near misses, to an appropriate level. The role will consist of providing a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Project Manager and other senior staff to assist in pursing project business objectives. - Fully conversant with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Microsoft Outlook - Diary management - Arrange accommodation and facilities for meeting and organise refreshments as required - Organise overseas travel, hotel arrangements, itineraries, visas, car hire - Set up and maintain filing system following corporate standard - Receive incoming mail by post and logging in all correspondence into project log. TitleProject Control Engineer

TitleContract Engineer

We are currently looking for a Contracts Engineer to be worked on our TATWEER project in Bahrain for 12 months/1 year assignment.   In this role, the qualified candidate will be assigned to support the Contracts Manager for all Contract Management functions to which they are assigned. Primary responsible for contract administration post award to contract close-out Implement and ensure compliance with Company Policies and procedures - Select and prepare the adequate tendering and contracting strategy that ensures the best value for ZADCO’s expenditure following the best practice and innovative ideas - Prepares contractual and commercial aspects of any procurement, support works and service tenders required by projects, in consultation with Project Managers - Prepares and compiles Tender / agreement (purchase Order / contract) documentation, with Project Team, legal and finance groups to ensure viability, legality, interpretation and ease of administration - Provides expertise for Tenderer’s prequalification and processes bid list, including any pre-qualification exercises and evaluations required and obtains relevant management / tender board approvals - Participates in the technical and un-priced commercial evaluation of tenders and then leads the subsequent priced commercial evaluation of technically acceptable offers that includes professional adjustment factors depending on the nature of the job and tender Prepares a comprehensive techno-commercial evaluation report and recommendations - Processes award recommendations, ensure necessary approvals and finalize with successful bidder and the contract documentation - Validates the development and implementation of all contractor procedures for conformity with the Contract Checks conformity of all documentation called for, including guarantees, performance bonds, insurance and the like with agreed formats and processes as required - Assists in evaluating contractor’s request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors Monitors performance of contractor’s procurement activities in terms of timely delivery and quality - Administers contractors’ request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors Monitors performance of contractors’ procurement activities in terms of timely delivery and quality - Administers contractors’ reimbursement and valuation submissions, and coordinates with the Finance Division as required - Reviews, advises and negotiates as part of constituted team, revised terms, variation order requests, change orders, claims in liaison with responsible management - Assists project controls group in obtaining and assessing cost and progress data performance Provides relevant data and assist to the Contract Administration System and provides facilities for performance analysis of the historical tender / contract matters - Coordinates the final ‘close-out’ of completed purchase order / contract by ensuring proper resolution of all outstanding issues Provides input and reviews the commercial aspect of ‘Performance Reports on Contractors’ - Conducts all work activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by not taking on any task that are perceived as unsafe Complies with the QHSE management system and reports all incidents and near misses to VP or QHSE representative

TitleSite HSE Engineer

Wood is currently looking to recruit a HSE Engineer to be based offshore on a 6 week on 2 weeks off rotation. The successful candidate must be able to perform the below duties and responsibilities; - Maintain and help control daily HSE practices through regular checks of work sites, ensure that hazards are identified, precautionary measures are implemented and relevant HSE advice provided - Ensure that project Health, Safety and Environmental programs and procedures are communicated to and regularly reinforced with site personnel - Promote safe working systems and procedures and monitor the proper application of the "Permit to Work" system, SIMOPS and associated Job Safety Analysis, as well as other approved project - HSE and contractor related policies, plans, procedures and guidelines - Review and provide comments regarding contractor developed HSE plans and procedures - Coordinate and participate in the provision of HSE awareness in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 specifications Prepare programs and arrange participation training sessions in conjunction with line management - Participate as member of construction site emergency response team, and provide first line advice to the designated Incident Controller and / or On Scene Commander concerning containment of emergency - Ensure that any project incidents are immediately reported to management and project HSES in parallel - Investigate all site HSE related incidents, including near misses, to an appropriate level. Analyze immediate and root causes, determine future action to reduce these occurrences - Promote, support and participate in HSE Observation Card (HSEOC) program - Prepare and maintain statistical records of project site HSE performance (eg, work-hours, leading and lagging indicators, etc) and communicate regularly with project HSE Advisor and the Abu Dhabi based project HSE Engineers and the project Safety Analyst - Conduct frequent audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs on critical operations/equipment and procedures at assigned location; present recommendations for improvement and follow-up their implementation
