Job TitlePMC Senior GIS Engineer

Wood is currently providing project management support to Al Dhafra Petroleum in undertaking a program of environmental remediation and rehabilitation works within the oil fields. The appointed contractors are required to undertake remedial activities to achieve project remediation standards.   Wood requires a Senior GIS Engineer to deliver and supervise the GIS components of the project.   This position will be based in client office in Abu Dhabi city for a period of 6 months initially with possibility of extension depending on client / project needs.   The successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties; - Field GIS / Site Surveying - Maintaining a field GPS unit and post-processing software - Supervising team of PMC surveyors - Site visits to check quality of topographic surveys, such as break-line locations and dimensions of treated soil stockpiles - Collection of site data using mobile GIS (PDA / tablet PC) - Assisting PMC team to find geographical locations in the field - Desktop GIS / ACAD - Provide PMC staff with maps (including map books) such as for site and sample locations; - Produce surfaces from sample depth data or in accordance with cut / fill scenarios described by management; - Maintain a spatial warehouse of base-map and sampling data - Use of Advanced Editing toolbar in ArcMap for activities such as producing sampling grids; - Perform geospatial calculations of distance, area, volume for PMC staff - PMC Project Management Database (PMD) - Coordinate with GIS developers on continued development and enhancement of PMC Project Management Database (PMD) web application and back-end SQL Server database - Supervise QA / QC of Contractor data to ensure compliance with requirements of PMD - Provide point of contact between GIS developers and Al Dhafra Petroleum IT - Perform testing of the PMD; - Provide PMD training and support to PMC staff; - Use PMD to manage GIS data, analytical sample data, project documents and schedules; - Update PMD webmap map service document - Participate in key Al Dhafra Petroleum reviews and meetings as required, including project Risk management and lessons learned - Create and sustain a good team spirit within the Wood project team and Al Dhafra Petroleum - Ensures that relevant work on the project is completed in accordance with contract specifications, company policies and procedures - Administer and oversee project phases and deliverables to ensure accountability, client satisfaction, and receipt of deliverables - Prepares reports as required by the Project Manager - Keeps the Project Manager informed of difficulties encountered and issues that arise on the project - Review and evaluate contractor submissions and provide technical feedback - Effective communication of technical issues across the project team, contractors and client representatives

Job TitleSenior PACO Engineer

Wood is currently looking for a Senior PACO Engineer to strengthen our team in Dubai. This is a Home Office position based in Dubai. Normal working time will be 48 hours per week   - Reporting to the Lead PACO engineer the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned Instrument and Controls engineering work scopes - Carry out Instrument and Controls discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for field development of oil and gas production facilities - Plan, budget, organize, and control a segment of the Instrument and Controls engineering deliverables for the project - Prepare Instrument and Controls deliverables for all project Phases the oil and gas industry - Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule - Provide direction and guidance on all Instrument and Controls engineering technical queries raised by either internal or external parties - Liaise with the Client’s Engineering, Operations and Maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion - Promote safe behaviour at all times - Provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline - Co-ordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up - Assist in the coordination of all activities related to Instrument and Controls engineering design - Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required - Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Instrument and Controls engineering design and analysis - Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards - Familiar with the typical software packages that are used for Instrument and Controls engineering design - Experience of the application of HAZOP, HAZID and SIL Rating to Instrument and Controls design - Experience with Instrument and Controls design for prefabricated modular packaged equipment - Experience with Concept Selection and FEED studies

Wood is currently looking to recruit a Senior Contracts Engineer to be deployed within a client Project Management Team in PMC capacity to assist in the management of a large EPC project. Successful candidate will manage all contracting activities from ITT preparation and issuance, tender clarifications, technical / commercial bid evaluation and contract award. Primary responsible for contract administration post award to contract close-out Implement and ensure compliance with Company Policies and procedures - Select and prepare the adequate tendering and contracting strategy that ensures the best value for ADNOC Onshore expenditure following the best practice and innovative ideas - Prepares contractual and commercial aspects of any procurement, support works and service tenders required by projects, in consultation with Project Managers - Prepares and compiles Tender / agreement (purchase Order / contract) documentation, with Project Team, legal and finance groups to ensure viability, legality, interpretation and ease of administration - Provides expertise for Tenderer’s prequalification and processes bid list, including any pre-qualification exercises and evaluations required and obtains relevant management / tender board approvals - Participates in the technical and un-priced commercial evaluation of tenders and then leads the subsequent priced commercial evaluation of technically acceptable offers that includes professional adjustment factors depending on the nature of the job and tender Prepares a comprehensive techno-commercial evaluation report and recommendations - Processes award recommendations, ensure necessary approvals and finalize with successful bidder and the contract documentation - Validates the development and implementation of all contractor procedures for conformity with the Contract Checks conformity of all documentation called for, including guarantees, performance bonds, insurance and the like with agreed formats and processes as required - Assists in evaluating contractor’s request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors Monitors performance of contractor’s procurement activities in terms of timely delivery and quality - Administers contractors’ request for approval of vendors and sub-contractors Monitors performance of contractors’ procurement activities in terms of timely delivery and quality - Administers contractors’ reimbursement and valuation submissions, and coordinates with the Finance Division as required - Reviews, advises and negotiates as part of constituted team, revised terms, variation order requests, change orders, claims in liaison with responsible management - Assists project controls group in obtaining and assessing cost and progress data performance Provides relevant data and assist to the Contract Administration System and provides facilities for performance analysis of the historical tender / contract matters - Coordinates the final ‘close-out’ of completed purchase order / contract by ensuring proper resolution of all outstanding issues Provides input and reviews the commercial aspect of ‘Performance Reports on Contractors’

HSE Manager

Wood is currently looking for a HSE Manager for the Duqm Refinery Project. In this role you will act as an Ambassador of the company in all aspects of HSES.    Responsibilities include but not limited to   - Provide the leadership, and support necessary to ensure efficient Health, Safety, Environmental and Security (HSES) management. The main aim being to create secure, safe and healthy working conditions throughout the site, while protecting the environment during both, construction and commissioning operations - Has advanced level understanding of and communicate to relevant site personnel the contents of the company HSES procedures and work practices, and client safe working procedures. Ensure that such procedures and practices are being effectively applied - Manage the duties and controls detailed by the Site HSES Plan, pertaining to health, safety, the environment and security requirements, and ensure continuous compliance - Has an advanced level understanding of the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, and ensure sites are managed to these standards - Identify and manage a suitable programme of HSES training for all the site personnel - Ensure that the Resident Site Manager is kept up to date on HSES performance, and assist him in HSES reviews - Support the Resident Site Manager and the Chief Field Engineer in carrying out the HAZCON risk assessment process - Monitor the effectiveness of Contractor HSE Personnel and training providing support and improvement initiatives where required - Ensure that all incidents are appropriately investigated and that injury case management is administered to minimize loss
